Assumed user confusion

Postby Nev » Feb 04 04 4:11 pm

Hi all,

Have noticed this every now and then.

At the time of this screen grab, no other clients were online, just the server.

Have users assumed [not authenticated] and set by machine name = wg user name, ip = wg user for both the listed ones.

Just happens occasionaly and thought it may be worth reporting.

Win2k Pro Sp4, Wingate 5.2.2 KAV 1.2.x and now that I look it has sorted it self out, no further confusion so is a trivial point.

Cheers all.

Nev.

Just looking at that without checking the source code, it looks as if the user name reported against the history log entry is the username associated with the pop3 account, rather than the actual machine logged in. When that happens, if you check the computer's entry in activity, does it show with only the one user (As per assumptions) ?
