Empty Routing Table + ......

Postby Lars » Mar 10 04 8:18 am

Hi, I don´t know how this happens, but it does.

I installed WinGate 5.2.3 (upgraded a older version) and now my routing table is empty! Even the adapters are´n shown when doing a "route print". Running XP SP1a .....

Damn this ist pretty messy ... especially for a proxy ....

Any hint how to get TCP/IP back to work?

Thanks a lot

Greetings

Lars

Hi Lars

Do you have your Network cards still configured correctly?
Ip address etc.
If you do a Route print from the command line and the NICs approriate IP entries arent listed this seems like your actual Network cards are somewhat hosed.
Can you access the rest of the LAN?
Does GateKeeper give you any messages about services not being bound?
Have you checked if there are any Interfaces listed in WinGate (in advanced options or the bindings tab of a WinGate Service?

Sorry for asking these obvious questions it will just help to isolate your problem a little better.

Let us know

This pretty much sounds exactly like the problem I (and some other users) have (look at my post "Wingate 5.2.2 Gateway problem"). If you unload and disable the ENS driver (see under Extended Networking) your network should be visible again and hopefully soon the Qbik people have found a solution for this ...

Yes ..... it is.

no .. they seem to be hosted nowhere. They are even not displayed!

no ... no traffic in any way.

well ... no error or system message.
But binding tab shows the same as the routing table. Just a 127.0.0.1 routed and nothing else.

No prob. Gotta check that ENS driver thing out now. Hopefully it helps!

well ... deinstalling ENS did the trick. But that´s not what I want.
Any chance this to be fixed in the next release ;)

Hi, Lars
What network cards are installed on your machine? Any other firewall products or specific network drivers?

Machine has a Intel Pro100VE onboard and a 3Com Etherlink Server 10/100 PCI (3C980-TXM).
Installed is Visnetic Firewall (which works fine with WinGate right now.)
But that problem also occures without having the Firewall active or even installed.
As described ... routing table only shows localhost routing.

And when looking around ... I´m not the only one that has that problem.
