HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

Postby pheakavoin » Mar 11 04 3:15 pm

Using Wingate as internet gateway, there's a little problem when all clients try to browse some web site with the error message HTTP 500...

The line below shows in www proxy log sheet
03/11/04 08:53:33 192.168.0.12 pheak 0000002018 Error: Caught socket exception in CWWWSession::HTTPProcessRequest() Connection to Remote Host timed out - terminating
03/11/04 08:53:33 192.168.0.12 pheak 0000002018 Traffic 215 401 0 0 45s

No band list was configured.

Thanks

Is this only for a few select sites ?
Does it happen frequently ?
How heavily loaded (CPU wise) is your WinGate machine ?

Hi Pascal,

Not frequently this happened and with only a few sites not all sites.

CPU loaded randomly around 40%-90% usage.

About 4 month i'm usually go to hostingsupport.com, just about the last 1 month I got this error. But maybe a week ago i can normally browse that site again till the last few day i can't.

Thanks!

I had a whole night of stress trying to figure out why I got the message 'Internal Server Error' but after much prayer and trusting God, I awoke the following morning and did a 'System Restore' to some point before I re-installed Wingate and the client. To my great pleasure, this worked. The settings were reset to a working condition.

I am running Win XP on both the client and the server. I am not sure why the client had stopped loggin on to the net. It worked the first time I installed wingate but after attempting to tweak it to my liking, the client refused to work. The server continued working.

I hope this helps anyone who still has the problem.
