hello
i have a dlink dcs2100+ wireless 802.11b camera plugged into my hub
i can access the camera from any computer on my lan
the camera has a internal ip address of 192.168.0.8
the camera maker dlink says that it can be accessed from anywhere in the world over the internet from a browser
ok my problem is i cannot access the camera from any outside network
i was doing some reading on the dlink support site and they say
Question How do I remotely view DCS-2000 or DCS-2100+ cameras that are behind a router or gateway?
Answer- For each camera that resides behind a router or gateway, four ports must be forwarded by the router to obtain both audio and video. If audio is not desired, only the HTTP port will need to be forwarded. The four default ports are as follows:
80 (TCP) HTTP Port (allows access to web-configuration and transmits video if other ports are not forwarded)
5001 (TCP/UDP) Control Channel Port (used to synchronize audio and video)
5002 (TCP/UDP) Audio Channel Port (transmits synchronized audio)
5003 (TCP/UDP) Video Channel Port (transmits synchronized video)
ok so my problem is i dont have a router i use one computer to dial and share with wingate 5.23 for all my other computers
wingate works great with thecomputers and the camera
but how can i remotely acess the camera im thinking wingate has to open a port??
and i dont see the cameras ip in the activty window like all the other computers are
