Hi there
By choosing the NT userdatabase option will allow WinGate to use the NT database, local or domain controller to validate users and assign policies to users and groups in WinGate.
Once the NT userdatabase is in place the users and groups will show up on the Users tab in WinGate. You can set WinGate policies, access restriction policies etc per service based on these users and groups just as you would if you were using WinGate user database.
Be aware that certain authentication will not work when using NT user database such as Java login and Telnet logins.
Permissions, shares, general NT network admin, etc adding Users, change password etc are still set in the User Mangager in NT.
For more on using NT user database options you can read the articles on our knowledgebase
