Postby ignition » May 03 04 11:17 am

using trillian you can connect to yahoo with multiple accounts (a session for each yahoo account) on IP x.x.x.x:5050

how can i deny multiple connections to the same IP on the same port and allow only ONE

thanks

Good question. Only way I can see this working is to create a new user, say 'YAHOO', and only give YAHOO rights to allow use of port 5050 and/or IP of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx This would then mean all other users would have to be denied use of port 5050 and/or IP of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx The only way users could gain access is to log on as YAHOO. To stop more than one user from logging on as YAHOO you would need to set the system policy right Users have simultaneous access from multiple computers to NOT allow YAHOO the right. Basically this ends up as a first come first served scenario for users wanting to log on as YAHOO -a timeout maybe necessary to allow others to try and log on. It's not perfect for sure but it might work for you
