FTP not working. Urgent!

I have disabled the FTP Proxy service, such that
my port 21 (ftp) requests are made out as NAT connections.

I am getting connected and then authenticated but then it
hangs when getting the directory listing. What ports
should I open besides port 21 and port 22 ?
