Bandwidth Throttling

Hello,

I am testing the latest version of wingate and am having troubles setting up bandwidth throttling.

I am using wingate only as a proxy server using the proxy service.

I would like to limit every user on my network so they only get a small portion of our bandwidth while browsing the internet.

I have searched the forums and keep finding links to post #24247

but this does not seem to work for me. Maybe I'm missing something.

I have also tried the help file in the app but I am still getting full speed when I do an online speed test.

Could someone post a step-by step on how to throttle all connection through the proxy server?

Hi,

Now it is a while since I used the throttling and I cannot test it at present.

The tip that comes to mind is that your clients should be connected by NAT / direct connection and I imagine you can enable T/r [Transparent Redirection] to intercept connections and still have throttling work in the WWW proxy.

Just had a browse at the help file with some useful stuff in there too!
