wingate internet client authentication problems

I followed the instructions from you website "http://support.qbik.com/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=77" on user authentication using WIC. When I go to my local machines to access the internet I get the WIC logon box but instead of one it continues to pop up an infinite amount of boxes until I force a close in IE. I am using win 2000 server with xp/2000/98 clients.

Any ideas?

Which version of WinGate is this? We had a problem like this a long time ago.
