5.3.X TO 6.0.3 Upgrade

Postby djcleckie » Oct 03 04 12:44 am

Have justed upgraded and activated licence (free 1 year upgrade option).
Have been using Wingate for several years.

I had a fully functional system before I upgraded. Now it does not work.

Have static IP addresses. 192.168.28.7 server and 192.168.28.6 client.
They can ping each other OK.
Client finds server OK have tried refreshing and all seems fine.
When I request a web page the client connects to the server fine but the page is not displayed.
Icon appears in the Client system tray OK but .....
bytes sent and bytes received remain at zero.

Correct connection information appears in the History Tab on the server.

On gatekeeper all system services are running fine. Ihave tried stopping DHCP as I am using static address but having it on/off makes no difference.

Have you checked the instructions in "Most Common WinGate Issses" near the top of the WinGate Forum?

It explains some one of the major differences in 6 and earlier versions and how to remedy problems.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have tried and no success.
My Wingate client connects perfectly to the server - no problems so it seems to have bound correctly.
My problem is that no bytes are being sent (or received).

Hi, can the client resolve names like: ping yahoo.com and receive replies?
