Web page with authorization

Postby Ekkas » Oct 05 04 9:56 pm

I've installed Wingate for a client that used to use Windows XP connection sharing. They use a web-page (extranet) that need user authentication, but now after Wingate installed, web page come up with error and you must click 'Refresh' and on some machines [Ctrl]+'Refresh' to get login prompt. Very annoying for them...

Please help.

How are the clients connecting out through WinGate, NAT? Proxy? WGIC? Are TR's turned on? Try purging the cache in WinGate (in Gatekeeper, right click the cache option in the control panel and select 'purge cache') - This is assuming you are using the latest version of WinGate (6.0.3)

Clients are connected through NAT although I've put some on Proxy and I recently turned on TR. I'll try to go purge the cache, but I'ts a brand new installation (3 days) and it did this from the start.

If you are going via NAT then nothing gets cached anyway. what happens if you try accessing the site from the WinGate server itself? Also, with regard to proxy connections, which user database are you using? And do you have any policies set?
