Wingate Activation

Postby rneill23 » Oct 09 04 2:04 am

I am trying to set up a internal proxy server for our 911 agency. We are trying to proxy a website that the state of Tennesse has on their Intranet. My issues are; 1.) will your software work on an Intranet and 2.) how can I get a 30 day activation for the software without an Internet connection.

Yes we do have the Internet in Tennessee but because the 911 agency does not want the risks we do not have it on their network.

Thank you for your time.

1. Depends on what you need to do with it. Do you want WinGate to serve the website? Do you want it to act as a layer inbetween the webserver and local Intranet clients?

2. You can generate an email activation, which you can then copy to a text file and transfer via a local network / floppy disk to a machine that has internet access. Then you can email that in to our support team; who will send you the information you need to activate it.

Pascal,

Thank you for your response. I just want Wingate to act as the proxy between the website in Nashville and about 10 computers where we are in Morristown. They have their internal IP addresses and we have our own internal IP addresses and none of them are on the Internet.

Can you activate an e-mail activation for me?

Thank you,

You can submit an activation request to our support team - they have all the tools necessary to do that. Alternatively, contact Matt Parker (mattp at qbik dot com) directly.

It sounds as if WinGate would be able to do what you want it to; but I'd recommend that you install the trial version to see if it is suitable for your needs before you make any decisions.
