Java Authentication...

Postby pheakavoin » Oct 18 04 5:12 pm

Dear All,

I just try new wingate version with my windows xp.

- With any client that connect from win2k pro and win98, when I typed in the authenticated account in the authentication dialogue box then there will be an error report as " No respond on port" and I cannot use Internet in those clients sice.

- With my winXp as wingate is installed, I try to browse with IE setting to 192.168.0.200, port 80 (go throught www wingate proxy) then the authentication dialogue box appear with an error message that " You will need a Java enabled browser to connect"

How do I enable Java in my browser, IE of WinXP?

Thank you for advanced as always provieded me a warmest support.

All the best!

Hi,

Firstly, make sure that you have the remote Control Service bound to your internal (private) IP. Otherwise, the Java Client cannot login. This binding has to be manually added.

For the second point - it's a download from Sun's website. http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp
