Yahoo Messenger saying Signed Off

Postby bijisc » Dec 19 04 6:36 pm

Hi,

Iam using Wingate version 4.2 and the problem iam having is Yahoo Messenger is not able to login. In yahoo messenger connection preference if i choose "Firewall with no proxies" it will connect and i will get a mesage saying "You have been signed off because you signed in on a different computer or device". Iam sure i am not signed on to any machine or device. I changed my password and still same problem. My MSN messenger is working fine. Iam using SocksProxy connection for MSN, but same is not working for yahoo messenger. I contacted yahoo and they said its the proxy problem.

If iam connecting from normal Dial Up Connection no problem, only when iam behind Wingate this problem coming.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to set it up as a proxy connection? Secondly, is this from a client behind WinGate or on the WinGate Server itself?
