bandwidth throttling http traffic

Postby bergsprekken » Dec 24 04 5:30 am

hi
I have wingate 6.03 trial, my serial is for 6.x enterprise and I would like to know if its possible to select http traffic in the bandwidth throttling setup?

I need to configure wingate so that any surfing and downloading from websites ( port 80 and http traffic ) have less priority so that I can play online mmorpg games while im waiting for a download to be finished.. But I cant find the options for ftp or http traffic anywhere in the rules or restrictions pages..

Hi,
you will need to create a restriction with lowered priority and, say, 20% bandwidth usage. Then you create a rule, which uses this restriction, make it bi-directional, serving Local Machine traffic, destination port 80.
