Question

Ok. Can I have Different Computers share the SAME DIAL-UP connection at the SAME time?

Ok here's a list of the computers

A Dell Demision 3000 with Windows XP PRO SP2 with FireFox
A Gateway with Windows XP Home SP2 with FireFox
A IBM with Windows ME with FireFox

If so, Does that mean the the Dell and the Gateway can be online at the same time? I hear some people say it is impossable to share a dialup connection others say it works, but it is slow. So IF I can share 1 dailup connection what is the side effects?

Thanks,
Stephen

Yes you can, that was how WinGate got started - sharing dialup connections. (A very interesting story) The side-effect is like the old economical cake. You slice the bandwidth up between everybody who is concurrently using the internet and the machine with the modem has the minimal overhead of running WinGate.

You can get it on a 30 day trial without having to buy anything, so why not give it a shot. We'll be here for support all the way.
