Outbound email sitting on queue for a while

I have a SBS2003 server with wingate (NAT enabled), I followed the wingate guide to setup wingate with exchange.
I can receive email just fine, but it takes about 20min for an email to leave the queue.
Has anyone came across this problem?

Hi, probably not relevant but in the Mail Server what is the 'Process mail' interval in seconds?

15 seconds... I just changed to 5 seconds.

Ok it's not that then.

What you could do is to enable all the logging for the SMTP server and report an extract of the log from the C:\Program Files\Wingate\Logs\SMTP Server here in the forum to give members a look over it.
