User Auditing

Postby DSG » Apr 29 05 4:03 am

Hello everybody,

a customer of is using the auditing function to log user activity. Is there a chance to activate user auditing automaticilly when a new user is created?

The customer is using Wingate 6.0.4 with Windows NT Accounts.

Hi,

If your customer clones a user who already has auditing enabled then the auditing options will be transferred to the new user. All you have to do when you create a clone is set the username and password.

And Windows Users?

Postby DSG » Apr 29 05 7:01 pm

Hi again!

Thats sounds helpful if we would use Wingate users. But what about Windows Users? How can we tell Wingate, that Users imported from the Windows User database also should have an enabled auditing? Ok, the Customer doesn´t chance many users every day, but if they forget to activate the feature....

Hm, unfortunately at this time there is no quick way to enable auditing for multiple users, so each user would have to be enabled individually.

We have talked about adding a function to allow more than one user's properties to be changed at one time, but this won't be available for a while yet.

Sorry,

Matt
