logged off server blocks https:

Postby ron christensen » May 12 05 3:32 am

I have 6.04 running in windows 2000 and it works very well since we solved the dialup problem. We run with the server logged off. We noticed that we could not get into the online banking page. In troubleshooting, we determined that we could get into online banking as long as we were not logged off the server. There are no error messages. IE just sits there when we try to log into an https page. I haven't spent time looking at logs yet, because I don't know where to look.

I am guessing this has something to do with users. I have not set up any users in gatekeeper so I have default settings. Our windows log on is as administrator with the same password on all machines.

Can someone point me in the right direction on this?

Can you turn on debug logging in the WWW proxy and see if that shows anything?

How are the clients connecting to WinGate, ie NAT, proxy or WGIC connection? If NAT, are you TRing port 443 in the WWW proxy?

Is it all secure pages that you're having a problem with or just the bank site?

If you're making a proxy connection can you try a NAT connection and not TR through the proxy, just to see if that works?

Do you have access from the WinGate server?

Thanks,

Matt
