Hi,

Can you please try the following:

Create a shortcut to WinGate.exe where you have it currently installed. In the properties of the shortcut alter the command line so it reads

"\WinGate.exe" -force9x

That forces the system to not run as a service but as an application in the context of the user you are currently logged in as. If you do that, does it start fully then?

now it says that the wingate egine is working but the CPU is spiked at 100% usage so the machine is pretty much locked up

Are you running AntiVirus on this machine? Please make sure that you're not scanning the WinGate directory.

Do you have any WinGate plug-ins? If so can you disable them?

I removed the history.cbx and History.bdx that took care of the problem
