How to? Block a LAN computer from sending emails?

Postby alyork » Jun 21 08 8:07 am

Hi.

We have a computer on the internal network that we want to prevent any emails from being sent externally to the internet. Block email at the Wingate server level.

How do I set up Wingate to block SMTP traffic from a single workstation?

The workstation has a static IP address.

Thanks - Al

Hi Al,

What you could try is to create a filter block in Wingate's SMTP Server.

Open Policies-->Set Default Rights for Everyone are ignored-->Double click everyone [or add user if desired]-->Advanced.

Add Filter-->Add Criterion-->Not client number equals 10.xxx.xxx.x [for example].
