CGI page will not come thru Wingate

Postby jvance » Aug 27 09 4:40 am

Hello,
We have been running Wingate for a number of years and its been working fine.
Recently our old computer that ran went down hard and I got a new computer and since my license was about expired I renewed Wingate and put it on the new server computer.

I thought I set it up all the same but when one of my users goes to a page with a CGI extension on nothing is displayed in the browser screen and the log says this

Error: Server closed connection prior to completion of transaction - terminating

Any idea on what setting is in Wingate that could be stopping this?

As a side note -- When you use the server computer to go to that page everything is A-OK so the data is being stopped by Wingate.

Hi

Which version of WinGate is this?

We find there are many pages on servers which are not HTTP compliant. Some browsers are very forgiving of these sorts of problems. That log message indicates that the server didn't properly frame up the response message.

Do you have the URL of this site we can test with? Post it to our support desk (email to support@wingate.com) if you don't want to publish it here.

Regards
