Hi,

I want to allow a users access only to certain web sites, How I do?

The only way I've found is to use filters on the "Advanced tab" in the policy of the Proxy server service, however I noticed that slows access, and I think it's because I have create as many filters as pages to which I wish to give access.
It's also very tedious to do it this way ...

I'd like something more practical, I think something like how to operate the "Band List", the only thing that instead of blocking web sites, I'd like it allow access to web sites that I add ...

In other words, I want to create a "white list" but without using the advanced tab, because they are like forty pages that I want to include and using advanced is very tedious and the worst thing I've noticed that slows the operation of wingate ...

Can you help please?

Hi

you're right, WinGate 6 is a bit tedious to set up when it comes to whitelisting.

WinGate 7 is a lot better for this, as you can define lists, and then define how the list is used (whether white-list, black-list or any other purpose).

It also allows you to use an ODBC-compatible database for your white or black-lists. This means you can edit your lists using your favourite DBMS tool. E.g. we use MySQL + SQLYog for a lot of lists / rules in WinGate 7.
