is the Remote.Control.Ser will delete the adapter bind auto?

Postby takusa100 » Nov 04 05 4:16 pm

excuse for another strange problem:
in the default installtion of WG6, the remote control service will add msloopback by default.
because i need let the users logon,i add a "internal adapter" item in it ,and it works well.
but after i restarted the machine,WG6 ' remote control service turned to which i hadn't configured it before.it still had one item in the bind tab:"MS Lookback".
because i setted the qbik services manual in the Services of OS,i noticed the registry's change: before the Qbik service started ,the bind key in the Registry still existed, after i start the Qbik service manual, the item in the Registry had been rolled back ,like above what i described.
what's the matter on earth ?!

Hi,

If you do not have an administrator password set in WinGate then the Remote Control service will not bind to any adapter except the loopback adapter. If you set an administrator password you will be able to bind to the internal adapter.

hi,MattP
sure i had used a administrator password, after installtion was completed,i setted this band first by using the default administrator account , and it was commited and worked well:user can log on normally.
After restarted ,the band would disappear. how strange, i had never encountered this before.

Well, that is strange. I set my WinGate service to manual too in the services, and makes no difference to the Remote Control Service; the binding to my internal card persists no matter how many times I stop / start. (WinGate 6.1)

1. What minor version of WinGate 6 do you use? e.g. 6.0.4
2. Does the Windows Event Viewer indicate a problem? (Windows) Start --> Run --> eventvwr
3. Have you tried backing up your settings, and doing a reinstall?
4. Any strange permissions on the WinGate key in the registry?
