Assume user by computer name

We are running Wingate 6.0.4, I want to assume users by computer name. The Wingate server does not participate in my Windows domain. The clients do not run the WGIC. When I set up assumed users by ip address, it works as it should be. But if I try to have it assume users by computer name, it doesn't make the association. If I try to ping one of these computer names by name from the command prompt of the Wingate server, it properly resolves the name to an IP address. Is it possible to get it to assume the user based on computer name in this scenario?

It is, but you must use the WinGate DHCP server to assign IP addresses to the network. WinGate can only use the machine name to create assumptions when it assigns the IP addresses.
