Wingate and AD users authentications

Postby enzo » Dec 17 05 5:24 am

Hi, i have a problem with a wingate (6.1) proxy in to Domain.
I use remote user database (Active Directory) and required the NTLM authentication at the users. I want that every time that a user opens IE comes demanded the login... but this does not happen. I have set up on explorer the demand for the password in Authenticated user.

the Remote Control Service is configurated.
the www proxy server configuration:
authentication method: NTLM and Basic
Policies: everyone must be authenticated

I don't use the WGIC.

Hi

How are the policies for the WWW proxy combined with the system policies?

If there is a system policy that allows everyone unrestricted unauthenticated access, and the WWW policies combine with them so that system policies "may also be used", then the system policy will grant access without authentication being required.

Regards
