Reinstallation Problem

Postby itgmorigia » Feb 10 06 1:22 am

After an inital installation that was be made 40 days ago I removed in the same day and reinstalled the wingate server on the same machine but with different (and not the default) path on different disk.
Now I need to set up the mail server and I noticed that the mail folder structure is in the older and default path.
The are also the Certificate folder and all the other files of the previous installation. I take a look on the WingateConfig.reg and I noticed the are some path which point to the previous installation.
These path are:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\Certificate Manager]
"Container"="C:\\Program Files\\WinGate\\Certificates

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\Logging]
"DBPath"="C:\\Program Files\\WinGate\\"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\Settings\Mail]
"MailRoot"="C:\\Program Files\\WinGate\\Mail"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\Settings\quarantine]
"Path"="C:\\Program Files\\WinGate\\Quarantine"

How may I move this structures to the new Wingate PATH?

Thanks

Hi

Looks like the uninstall didn't completely remove the registry keys.

You can either edit these (stop WinGate, edit, restart), or if you are ok to reinstall,

1. uninstall WinGate
2. use regedit.exe, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate and delete it.
3. install WinGate to your new path.

Regards
