Various ComputerName logs

There is a strange behaviour on how wingate server logs the computer names in Gatekeeper History:
Computernames are logged as their IP address, as their DNS names and also as their NETBIOS name. However I do not understand how and when wingate resolve DNS or NETBIOS computer name and when log only the IP address because this appears at random for the same machines.

For anyone who has note this behaviour the reason is an incorrect DNS settings: the wingate machine has a manual DNS address that point to the router (whom also has the ISP DNS address) but the router is a DNS proxy for the external resolver so, the only internal names resolved are the NETBIOS name of clients that uses WGIC (by evidence the WGIC passes the NETBIOS name to wingate server) and the DNS name that are manually resolved by the administrator logged on the server. All others are IP addresses.
Now I remove the manual DNS settings in wingate and the default are the system settings. The queries are demanded to the internal DNS server and then forwarded to the external.
