Java logon

1. When any of my coleagues uses his laptop to connect through wireless network, the java login never disconnect if he just bluged off (or kicked off) the network? is there any solution (or update) to the java client?

2. I am thinking of making some changes to the java login applet through a friend who knows java, like adding some certain functions like making the java applet send nulls (or anything else) to keep the login on, and make the remote control service disconnect any connection that didnt send any packets within certain amount of time, Is it possible to make that changes? and is it possible to have its code so I can give it a friend so he can make those changes for me?

and ofcourse I'll share the final result with all of you, I am just thinking of a small contribution.

I understand this but I am thinking of a better solution for diferent platforms
like linux, mac os x and any other that have a java runtime

The problem with this disconnection is that if a computer is knocked out of the network, TCP connection stays alive until keep-alive packet is sent - which, by default, is sent by a TCP stack once in 2 hours. That's the theory and if this problem is what I think it is, we might release an updated Java login app.

i see the new build came out

is the java applet able to run on any old release? or i have to upgrade

Hi,

Our testers just confirmed that if the connection to the server is lost in Wi-Fi way (that is, local TCP stack is not notified about the connection loss), Java client requires logoff/logon when the connection is established. Fix would probably be available in the next release.
