are you using HTTP or IMAP or something else to access google mail?

for access using protocols other than HTTP, the best option is probably NAT. For NAT to work there are several requirements:

1. WinGate Network driver must be installed when you installed WInGate (it is by default)
2. WinGate network driver must be shown as installed and active on the network adapters used for internet connectivity and for access to the LAN
3. NAT must be enabled in the Extended Networking section in WinGate Management (it is by default)
4. Network clients must be able to resolve names to IP addresses using DNS
5. Network clients must use WinGate as their default gateway
