Multiple WAN Connections

Postby bkiley » Jan 18 07 2:23 pm

Hi,

I have 2 internet connections (Comcast and Verizon) and want to be able to use both of them at once for both failover and load balance. This is a function included in DLink and Netgear Dual WAN routers.

Is there a way that this can be done within Wingate? Have both connections running and have a traffic split, say 50% through one, 50% through another and if there is a drop in one line, have the other take over?

I know it's possible on a Service by Service, but I would like a higher level.

Any know?

Hi Guys,

Currently load balancing is not possible but connection failover works on a per service level.

WinGate 2007 will have a lot more options for connection management and I believe that rotation will be a lot more effective. We're hoping to have a beta release available shortly, so keep an eye on our website and sign up for the beta testers program.

Cheers!
