Everything was working fine until the machine locked up. Now the wingate monitor stays amber, cannot log in thru gatekeeper (connection refused by server, check server name and port number). After many restarts, wingate finally starts and gatekeeper will open. Error message displayed once in gatekeeper state that ens service is not running and that it has been preventing wingate from starting (through several failed attempts.) I clicked on the message and it tried to start ens on the next boot, back to square one, wingate will not load. I have deleted both history files. Thanks for any help.

Mike,
Have you tried the method below?

Good Morning Iabull,
Thank you for your response. I deleted the files several times (with the engine stopped). Don't know what did it, but it finally came up with the nat service running. I would delet the history files on each restart. While failing, it takes a while for the engine to stop. Every thing was broke yesterday, maybe one of those days. We are up and running now, but I would like to have a work around if it does it again. I'm open to any suggestions for future solutions.
thanks again,
mike

Mike,
History files causing hangs is just one of those "things" with WinGate. Doesn't happen often, but it when when a stable WinGate install starts hanging, it's the first place to look. Nothing to be done to prevent it that I know of.
