Guys,
I'm sure that I'm not alone in wanting to see whats coming in on my ISDN adapter.
Since you take this and look at the IP streams to make decisions on routing or whether to reject things or not would it be possible to dump this to a file in a tcpdump style format readable by Netpatrol or perhaps dare I says Ethereal. This could be extended to any network interface given that you handle all o fthe packets at one time or another.
Clearly this would consumme a reasonable resource and you would not in a large installation want it permanently enabled so make it a tick box on an ENS tab and add a box to type the dumpfile name and bobs your uncle.
How about it.

Won't NetPatrol do this for you ? I believe you can tell NetPatrol to save any sequence of packets to a file / packet buffer.

Aye, NetPatrol does that - filtering setup is a bit clunky (it is under further development) but it does the job.

Guys,
Thanks for the response. Netpatrol probably does do that (althogh I'm not sure about the ISDN side). THe big problem is that its NT technology bound.
Windows 98 may be clunky but it not been targetted the same way as NT/2000/XP and I therefore prefer to run wingate and my other outward facing software under 98.
Of course if you could port netpatrol to 98 that would be just dandy.
Regards
Neil
