Wingate + Panda CVP Antivirus - it is possible?

Feb 26 04 12:39 am

My organisation have the Panda Eterpisecure antiviral solution.

In documentation for Panda I have found a text:

The firewall servers to protect must be compatible with the CVP protocol. A CVP server must be installed in a computer running Windows XP/2000/NT. The firewall must be configured to route network traffic to the antivirus CVP server.

My question: may wingate work with Panda CVPSecure by CVP protocol?

P.S. Sorry for my English :)

Hi there

WinGate has not been tested with Panda/CVP. However if the CVPprotocol uses TCP/IP then there is a chance that you may get it to work with WinGate as WinGate is designed to handle most IP based protocols.

To redirect the traffic to the Panda server you can set up the approriate redirection through the port security tab found under the ENS in WinGate to specifically adjust ports on the Firewall.

From my brief reading it looks as though this AV offers very similar features to Kaspersky Antivirus for WinGate. You can read about the Kaspersky AV plugin at our website.
