What is the option for Auto dialing from WINGATE Client machine ?
Question in details
--------------------
I use INTERNET dial-up connection which is configured in WINGATE server.
I got 10 clients machines using WINGATE client and IE browser. The WINGATE server is installed in a machine which is at a distant place within our office space.
How do the clients can dial-up from their machines, if the line is not connected.
I use WINGATE V3.05 WIN 95 version.
Regards.

Hi
Normally this would happen when the client requests a connection.
Prior to that however, the client would try and look up a name with DNS.
If you are using WinGate's DNS server, then do you have it configured to trigger the dialer?
Other options would be
1. install GateKeeper on the client machines (or a strategic client machine) and manually start the dialer from there. You will need the pro version of WinGate to be able to connect remotely with GateKeeper.
2. Get one of the client machines to attempt to connect to an IP address rather than a domain name. This will bypass the DNS lookup stage, and the client connection request should then trigger the dialer.
