Hello there, I've been using wingate for quite a while now and I admit that this piece of software is very useful particularly the bandwidth management feature. However, I would like to ask if Wingate has an automatic redial feature which can monitor the internet connection by verifying that it is functioning well because for instance if the line is dropped and although I have enabled the windows box to redial if the line is dropped most times it doesn't so this would be another good feature for wingate.
Important:
Wingate randomly checks and pings a website for response to check whether there is really internet connection then redials immediately to reestablish connection. This should apply to all types of internet connection either dialup or dsl.

WinGate should automatically redial if the connection has dropped and a subsequent connection request comes through.

Ok if you can duplicate the issue I am doing, unplug the phoneline of your dsl modem then insert it again, wait for the time wingate redials. That tests whether wingate can redial the lost connection.

I'll pass that on to the support team. In the meantime, what does your dialer log indicate? (With debug on)

The dsl indicator now is ok, however wingate still is not redialing. I'll have to select the debug option first then I'll post it here. The dialer is also set to automatically disconnect after 180 seconds of inactivity. Its now five minutes and still wingate hasn't redialed yet and the internet is now disconnected lan wide.
