SSL request denied

I'm having a problem with denied SSL requests going through a WinGate 5.0.2 proxy. I'm aware that I can upgrade to a newer version, but I believe this to be a configuration problem. I can access most SSL secured sites with the proxy enabled. If I change the browser settings to not use the proxy, I can access the site fine. What do I need to check to find the problem?

In IE how do you have your proxy settings set up? You need to have the WinGate's IP entered next to the 'Secure' option as well as the 'HTTP' option, both set to port 80.
