Hi Soorinje,
I remember receiving your email in the sales queue and replying to it. You may want to check that our emails wern't being marked as junk mail by any filters.
I manually checked all the tickets we receieved on the 19th of May and managed to find your ticket. Here is my reply I sent you.
Hi Nasir,
I loaded up your WinGate registry on a server, and was able to use Yahoo Messenger fine with the client computer configured correctly. I configured Yahoo to connect to WinGate with Socks 5, then I configured Internet Explorer to connect to WinGate's WWW Proxy. I also tried disabling the proxy in IE and using NAT only. The only time that Yahoo wouldn't work, was when the client computer had no Proxy or NAT connectivity.
When Yahoo Messenger is configured to use a socks server, it still needs to make an SSL connection on port 443 before you can sign in. So please make sure that Internet Explorer on your client computer is configured to connect to WinGate correctly, and pass secure connections through the proxy aswell. Alternatively, make sure that you have a NAT connection from your client computer (Default Gateway and DNS pointing to WinGate). This will also work.
