This is a UK specific question.
B.T. are offering ADSL for £19.99 per month but with the condition that only one computer can access the Internet. Would Wingate work on such a system? I think so as it is only the server that is actually connected to the Internet but I would like to be sure.

Hi Dave,
certainly this would work fine like in many other countries. There is just one computer (your server) which connects to B.T. and whatever computers are sitting behind the server are not visible for B.T. We have a DSL-flatrate here in Germany which also allows only one computer to connect. It works fine for me with a few computers behind the server.

Hi "djcleckie",
Where on earth; or the planets, have BT been hiding all these years. Don't they know about Wingate and Internet Cafes and all those systems that get value out of expensive monthly payments for slow and unreliable service.
Go for it and connect as many computers as you want and hope that the Man from BT doesn't come knocking on your door.
Regards, Warren
