Hi there

What are you trying to achieve?
Are you trying to have your clients authenticated through using WGIC?
If so which user database option are you using?
Do you have a policy in the WRP that everyone must be autheticated?(as per the WinGate helpfile)

A little more info will help us to understand the problem better.

Erwin

thanks you!
Yes! I'm trying to have my clients authenticated through using WGIC.
I want my clients direct access Internet through using WGIC but not NAT.
I created some users and groups in wingate, and created system policy for them.I NOT use Windows AD's users!
I have started WRP service and policy is everyone must be autheticated. So my clients on Windows 98 can access Internet throung using WGIC(when i open Internet Explorer 6 will pop up a window, after Input corrected User name and Password will connected to Internet). But on Windows 2000(professional) and XP(professional),When i open Internet Explorer 6 CAN'T pop up a window!

Hi there

OK two things to check.

Have you made sure the 2000/XP wgic clients can see the WinGate server in the WGIC applet. And it is set to use that one?

Do the clients have their DNS and Gateway entries (in their network properties) pointed at the WinGate Server?

On the WRP service Policy Tab have you made sure the Default Rights (System Policies) option below the window is set to "Are Ignored".

Let us know how you get on

Thinks for you answer!

I have checked all setting you saied,But no useful!

1.Clients can see the WinGate server and WGIC applet in using.
2.Clients DNS and Gateway is pointed at the WinGate Server(In Windows 98,Gateway is abstinency,DNS is pointed at ISP Gateway. In this model clients working very good).
3.On the WRP service Policy Tab,the Default Rights (System Policies) option below the window is set to "Are Ignored".

When i open Internet Explorer 6 still CAN'T pop up a window.(on the side:When windows 2000 start up and display logon screen, will pop up wingate client logon window in the same time)
