Hi, im using Wingate 5.2.0.
Im having problems accessing only one particular site on the internet. I cant ping it or trace route it either. I checked with the site admin and he said my IP wasnt blocked. Does anyone have any idea why I may be getting this. I was able to access the site two days ago.
I keep getting an HTTP 500 internal error message
Please advise
Thank You
Greg

Have you blackholed their IP address? Usually a 500 server error means that it's your server that's blocking the connection.

NO, its a site that I visit on a daily basis, until yesterday when this started to happen.

what is the URL? Can you connect from a different machine? Can you connect from the WinGate server? If you can then there is something blocking the connection on WinGate, either a policy setting or a blackhole listing.

I have the same problem, but only with a few pages. I get the HTTP 500 error message when I try to access pages like: hp.com (drivers), winproxy.com, wingate forums, and other more.
I think there is a DNS problem in wingate 5.2.3 (read at:
http://forums.qbik.com/viewtopic.php?t=1402). I tried cleaning the cache and apparently the problem is solved.
Good luck.
