specified network name is unavailable

May 07 04 3:08 pm

Since I installed wingate version 5.2.3, the wingate client (other PC) can't access to Internet by wingate server. They just can connect with the driver wingate client.

I can ping the pc on network but I don't with explorer. The error message display 'The specified network name is unavailable'. I can't share files or printer only when I shutdown wingate engine.

How to configure wingate for enable access on my network?

Hi Bernard,

What IP address range are you using on your LAN? If you go to options>advanced and choose the network interfaces tab please make sure that your internal NIC is set to public no trusted yes and your external NIC is set to public yes trusted no.

Can you also check your bindings in the WinSock Redirector service and make sure that the bindings are set to accept connections on the internal interface as well as the loopback address.

Thanks,

Matt

My IP adress on my LAN is 192.168.0.1

I checked this parameters and all seem OK.

I reinstalled version 5.2.2 and it working. Then, I try installed two times the 5.2.3 version under 5.2.2 and I have the same problem with my network.

I think that the version 5.2.3 is not compatible with my system and I will stay in 5.2.2
