I've been using Wingate for our school for internet connection using Windows NT4 Server, I am very impressed!!!
But now we upgraded our server and converted our Operating System into Windows 2003 server, I already configured our server as a DNS Server, DHCP Server and a Domain Controller for our school's network in compliance with the School's Requirement, Now we have an Internet and im using Internet Connection Sharing to distribute internet but I want to use Wingate to handle our Internet distribution.
My question is can wingate handle my server's internet sharing capabilities without having any conflict/problems with my intalled configuration on my server such as Domain Controller, DNS server and DHCP server.
Please!!! help me decide wether should I continue using Wingate on our server or it may only give us problem

You sure can reconifgure wingate and take out any services that are no longer required, like DHCP, for one - although I'd suggest to use Wingate services rather than the system ones simply because Wingate relies on some data to properly authenticate users.

Thanks a lot Genie
Are you suggesting that I remove all the services that I configured on our server and rely only with Wingate to handle all these services, well if that is the case I can implement it but my problem is my co-professors are also using this server for Networking Subjects and they are teaching these configurations to our students, we cant teach a third party software such as Wingate it is not part of our curriculum.
All I want with Wingate is to handle my internet connection distribution so I can accuaire its best features such as monitoring, content filtering and others, is there no other way I can use both at thesame time, what should I consider and what should I eliminate.
Is this possible?
Windows 2003 server will handle
* Domain Controller
* DNS Server
* DCHP Server
Wingate will handle
* Internet Connection Sharing
* Mail Server (SMTP, POP3) <-- (Optional)

With Wingate 5.2.3 I am doing almost exactly what you want to do, although I am doing it with Win2k, not Win2003 server. I have win2k perform DHCP and DNS, and I have a separate POP3/smtp server perform email. Wingate handles only Internet Connection Sharing. I have turned off within Wingate: DHCP service, DNS Service, POP3 server, and SMTP server. I have turned on in Wingate: ENS, DNS/WINS resolver, GDP service, Remote Control Service, Caching, ftp proxy server, pop3 proxy server, rtsp streaming media service, socks proxy server, and www proxy server.

- File Server
- Database Server (SQL Server 2000)
Backup Server
- Domain Controller
- Internet Proxy Server
- Mail Server
