Opening port for Java

Jun 08 04 6:52 pm

Our office is running WinGate / GateKeeper v3.0.2 for LAN internet access.

One of the staff is trying to access a bank site and can't get access. The bank has a compatibility test, and everything appears okay except for the Java Test. The result is as follows:

===============================
Java Test
To ensure your browser is Java compatible you should:

Confirm that you meet the System Requirements for Online Banking
Determine if you are accessing the Internet through a corporate firewall (an internal security system). If you are, you will need to advise your Network Administrator that you would like to access Online Banking, and to provide you with access to the following ports:
Normal Web Traffic Port - Port 80
Secure Socket Layer Port - Port 443
Specific Port for Online Banking - Port 4646
===============================

It appears port 4646 may be the sticking point and needs to be opened. Try as I might, I can't figure out how to do this.

I know this is an old version of the software, but would appreciate any advice.

Hi, really think any upgrade version would assist with this issue, give it a go and report back someone will take it further.
