Two CPU's on LAN share same IP #.. can I change this?

Jun 12 04 9:58 am

Problem is I'm trying to play the same game online with a friend who would be on my other PC...

I was able to connect to the MATCHMAKER service where you set up the games with both computers at the same time and different accounts, but when my friend tried to enter the same game room as me it said
"Cannot join as someone here already has the same IP# as you."

I went to vvv.whatismyip.com and both computers showed the same IP #..

I'm new to this, but I was wondering if I could use wingate to make it appear that my two computers are on with distinct IP #'s???

any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to do that is with another account to an ISP afaik.

The reason is that IP of your service whether dynamic [changes each connection] or static [fixed] is assigned to the server running Wingate, all web traffic, tracks back to that single IP.

Hope that helps.
