Hi,
I'm trying to set up Wingate as a gateway for an internal email server, so that all traffic on port 25 going to the external ip of the Wingate computer will be forwarded to the internal email server. The help file says to set the local/inbound mail server to point to the IP of the mail server, then add the domains to domains screen. I tried to do this in the program, but could not figure out exactly how to do this and did not want to guess. Could you please spell it out for me in terms of the exact steps I would take within the program?
Also, I set the firewall security to low to allow SMTP. It looks like it's allowed in the gui, but I still can't telnet to the external IP via port 25 from outside the network. Also, when I reboot it doesn't keep the setting.
Any help is appreciated.

There is a whitepaper available that should guide you through setting up the mail server in WinGate 6.

Your scenario sounds like Scenario 2: A mail server already exists on the network on page 25.
