Mail sitting in Mail Queue

Oct 11 07 7:38 pm

Hi Folks

I have read a number of issues related to mail being undelivered and sitting in the mail queue. An example of which is an age old thread ref 4138.

There appears to be no resolution, and if there was one as in this case it hasnt been posted.

As you can gather i am getting this same issue. Mine is slightly different in that i can send to most, but SOME appear to have sent, and the mail just sits in the queue. The end recipient does not receive the mail.

I have attached an example of one such "failure". Has there been any resolution to this issue ? My clients are really getting irritated by this and i stand to lose them as their time sensitive mails are not being delivered.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thx

Hi

There seem to be some log entries missing in that transaction - I'm just trying to figure out if the server closed the connection or the client did.

It doesn't show completion of the mail transaction, i.e. the server doesn't acknowledge receipt of the message.

Can you see if you can find more of that log? Also useful is timing information in case one or other party is timing out.

Regards
