I belive that the last version of wingate that interquick worked with was Wingate 4.4.2. After this, Interquick became somewhat redundant [which was unfortunate as it was never replaced]
If you are using it on a version later than this that could be the source of your problem.
Even if you do stick with an older version of Wingate in order to use Interquick, you may find [like myself and others] that the ENS Driver [NAT and routering] had a great deal of problems. The later versions 5.x onwards appeared to be a great improvement.
Hope that helps.

I agree that the wingate cache does not provide the same speed enhancement that the Interquick cache used to. It is for this reason that I find it dissapointing that Qbik never offered a replacement product [to my knowledge].
As for blocking of downloads, this is not actually something I have ever had to do, what exactly do you want to block? If you want to save your bandwidth from users eating it all up, one way could be to assign quotas to each user account.
Other than that, you may have to look for some white papers to help you.

Hi
InterQuick was never a Qbik product, and was discontinued by Deerfield who owned it a few years back now.
To block downloads, there are several options.
1. You can block ports from being used in the port security settings in the ENS configuration.
2. You can specify policies about what applications are allowed to execute if your users are running the WinGate Client.
3. You can specify particular policies in particular services about what may be done by users.

Install Interquick not as the plug-in but in proxy mode, then configure it as a cascaded proxy. It works excelent that way, it even blocks angelfire's notorious junk. just configure Wingate WWW proxy to cascade through Interquick with HTTP Proxy with SSL tunneling support. then configure IQ to connect directly.
