Can anyone clarify me on the working of the Time Out Setting in the Remote Control Service.
I want to setup Wingate such that any user logged in (Autheticated through the JAVA Client) is disconnected from the system say after 30 minutes of inactivity. That is if the user does not do any thing for 30 minutes his session is disconnected.
Is this possible using the Time Out setting in the Remote Control Service or does it disconnect the user after 30 minutes anyway. If it does look for inactivity is it looking at all the services?

timout settings for a service relate to whether any activity has happened on that service or not.
Since the Java client doesn't do any activity on the remote control service apart from the initial login, it will just time out at the period that you specify.
I can see what you are trying to do though - make it so your users are logged out once they stop using the Internet.
If you put a timeout on the Remote Control Service, you will find that whether the users are using the Internet or not, they will be asked to re-authenticate after whatever period you specify.
Normally the WinGate Client is the best way to achieve this, if it is possible for you to install this on your client machines.

Thanks for your response Adrien. Can you please clarify what would be different functionality if I was to install or copy the Gatekeeper on the client machines.
Thanks again.
