little problem with XP and broadband modem

I know little about xp's tcp/ip configuration so I thought I'd ask little help here.

It has nothing to do with Wingate.

If start my broadband modem and computer then everything's just fine. But if I restart my maschine, dialing takes about a minute. Maby longer.

Any ideas?

are you starting it immediately on logon?

It is possible it relies on some service being started, which can still be happening when you reboot, even after you log in, some services are still being started up.

There's a connection shortcut in my startup directory so you could say that it's starting immediately on logon.

But what service has a problem with reboot? That's the big question.
